My Approach
At Lucille M. Smith Therapy Services, my mission is to provide high-quality counseling services to adults and adolescents who are experiencing emotional or psychological difficulties.
I specialize in the treatment of mood disorders, including anxiety and depression, self harming behaviors, relationship and family dynamics, women's health and aging, sexual issues, adjustment disorders, as well as trauma processing and recovery for the treatment of PTSD. All therapies are client-centered, drawing on both psychodynamic and cognitive behavior skills.

I believe in taking a client-centered approach to counseling, where I work collaboratively with my clients to identify their goals and develop a personalized plan for treatment. I maintain a small client caseload, which allows for prompt and consistent appointment times for all of my clients.
Whether you are interested in more long-term psychodynamic therapy or a more solution-focused resolution, you will be guaranteed a compassionate and open forum in which to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

I am a long-time resident of Maysville, KY and have been fully licensed to practice psychotherapy since 2017. I have worked for the Ion Center for Violence Prevention, providing therapy for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. I have maintained my private practice since 2013.
Most recently, I have become licensed to supervise other candidates for LPCC licensure in the state of Kentucky.
